In the city of Karlovy Vary, in the Czech Republic

 "Trust me when I say you will always know yourself better after any setback because you will discover that you faced your worst fears and you’re still alive." -- Rania Naim

===============================
(in the Czech Republic) One of the most beautiful spa towns in this country, Karlovy Vary, also known as Carlsbad. Named after Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and the King of Bohemia, who founded the city in 1370, the city lies along the Teplá River where it flows into the valley of the Ohře River, 70 miles (113 km) west of Prague. The surrounding highland areas were once subject to volcanic activity, which accounts for the thermal springs in the vicinity. It is a cultural city with the highest concentration of healing springs in the world. Of more than a dozen active warm springs, the best-known and hottest, Pramen Vřídlo, gushes a geyser of hot water (162° F [72° C]) to a height of some 12 meters. In the Hot Spring Colonnade, a concrete-and-glass functionalist built in 1975 and once dedicated to Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, it houses the impressive Pramen Vřídlo geyser; people tend to lounge about inhaling the vapors or sampling the waters from a line of taps in the main hall. (Vary, as it's locally known, is not just about spa and wellness, but also about culture and sport.)
